All-American Club Sliders

Posted by vangsgaardmcdonough82obsmsw on

A sandwich is even better when it includes bacon. Strips of that crispy crunchy stuff can really add flavor. A club sandwich is one of those classics that you can find on many restaurant menus. However, it is a sandwich that is simple to make at home. The hardest part of making it is cooking the bacon.

This is a miniature version of that classic. Sliders are always fun whether it is for dinner or as an appetizer. This will work either way. You could even skip toasting the rolls with the garlic butter to make these even easier or to lower the calories. However, I love the added element of the toasted rolls!

All-American Club Sliders
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 (12 pack) slider rolls (I used King Hawaiian Rolls)
  • ½ lb thinly sliced deli turkey
  • ½ lb thinly sliced deli ham
  • 4-6 slice cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices cooked bacon
  • 4-6 pieces of lettuce
  • mayonaise
  • cocktail toothpicks
  1. In a bowl, combine melted butter and garlic.
  2. Keep rolls together and slice rolls horizontally. Brush both sides with melted butter. Place on a baking sheet and broil until golden.
  3. Layer cheese, ham, turkey, bacon, and then lettuce on the bottom half of the rolls. Spread mayo over the top of the rolls.
  4. Place top of rolls on. Place toothpicks into each slider and slice into individual sandwiches. Makes 12 sliders.
